Title and the Lightbulb Moment

I have people asking me why this page is called "Eye of the Gazelle." A year and a half ago I was listening to Dave Ramsey on the radio (if you don't know who he is, he pretty much helps people get debt free.) and he was talking about addiction and it being hard to become debt free if you have an addiction. In fact, you should probably get help for your addiction before you start his program.

Lightbulb moment.

That was when it clicked that I had an eating disorder that I needed to deal with. I couldn't stick to a budget and had trouble using money wisely because I was so knee deep in this eating disorder that all my money was going to diet food, diet books, workout equipment, etc...basically anything that I thought was going to "save me."...so instead I took a step back, got help for an eating disorder and a year and half later am able to stick to a budget. For some reason, the right person just had to say the right thing at the right time for me to get it.

So this page is called Eye of the Gazelle as a mixture of the song "Eye of the Tiger" and a nod to Dave Ramsey's "Gazelle Intensity." Because when you put all your focus and energy on one goal, crazy things can happen. 90lbs later, I am here to tell you that it's true.
